tawana necole, corporate chics, women execs, women ceos
Today we are interviewing Tawana Necole, author of the chick lit/true fiction book "Corporate Chis Volume 1."

About "Corporate Chics Volume 1."
"Corporate Chics Volume 1," the first of the trilogy, is unique, innovative, and entertaining because of its IM (Instant Messaging) format. Koilya is a beautiful, educated, female who recently graduated college and has entered into the corporate world. Through friendships with co-workers in her new role, she is on a consistent journey of learning all about life through their mistakes but most importantly her experiences. On this journey, Koilya learns vital lessons about finances, marriage, sex, love, false perceptions, envy, friendship, and infidelity. Koilya's philosophy of life leads her through a destructive world wind. If she doesn't wake up and realize that her selfishness is the reason for the misfortune she is encountering, she could ultimately lose everything that she has worked so hard to obtain.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am a Creative Artist, Entrepreneur, Sistapreneur, Mompreneur, and Corporate Chic. I see Writing as a beautiful expression. It's my experiences and something that I do from the heart. It's MY therapy. My Release... I am an Author and Business Consultant/Project Manager. Holding several degrees in business, I am on a mission to utilizing my experiences, skills, and resources, to empower, encourage, and entertain.

Describe the plot of your new book in a few sentences.
The plot is developed around a young female transitioning from college into the real world. Faced with betrayal, addictions and deception she is on a quest of finding herself and love.

Who do you think would most appreciate this book?
Women ages 18-50 looking to relate and find themselves in the process.

What inspired you to write a book about a beautiful, educated young woman who enters the corporate world?
It is the story of many young females in our society. She is you and she is me. And I was inspired to bring that story to life with perspective.
To be released late July 2015

Tell us a bit about the main character, Koilya.
Koilya is smart and very opinionated. She has internal issues but recognizes them immediately entering into the Corporate World. She is on an unconscious journey of learning about Life and Its Many Lessons.

Your book is unique because it uses the Instant Messaging format. What made you decide to take this approach to the story?
I wanted to create something that has never been done. I wanted to be original in my story telling. I also wanted the book to be an easy read. I adapted our 21st century communication skills and made it relatable.

Are there any authors who have influenced your writing style?
Iyanla Vanzant is my favorite non-fiction writer and Nikki Turner is my favorite fiction writer. I wrote "Corporate Chics" with the intention if it being a conscious dramatic filled story with perspective and some advice. So I believe it is a great combination of their writing styles; which is my writing style.

How do you feel about the increasing popularity of ebooks?
I am not a fan of ebooks. Audiobooks – YES! But I never finish reading ebooks. I am traditional and old school in so many ways. I just love purchasing books; possibly meeting the author so they can sign it and reading it from beginning to end. There is just something about literally reading a “page-turner.”

Without giving too much away, what can readers expect from the next book in the series?
"Corporate Chics Volume 2" will dig deep into the protagonists’ work life and how she tries to juggle being a new mother, co-workers, and her chaotic love life. Expect that along with the Corporate Chics Coloring and Activity Book late July 2015.
