Today we are interviewing Jeremy D Higgs about his new non-fiction book, titled "Technology & Science Today.”

Who do you think would most appreciate this book?
This book really targets non-technology buffs and introduces new readers to the concepts.

What inspired you to write this book?
I was working on the Open Induction Wireless Theory and wanted to publish its overview.

Tell us how your interest in science and technology developed.
I began using technology at an early age, my parents are younger in age and we always had the newest technology in our home. My dad was especially interested in new technologies growing up.

You’re also an energy theorist. For people unfamiliar with this field, can you tell us about it?
I was the person to identify and develop the theory for complete wireless buildings where you do not need to charge any device via a cable.

Can you share with us about wireless energy theory?
Imagine a world where you do not plug in your phone when you get home, your laptop charges on its own while in a coffee shop, or you experience a high school that is designated as a charging facility.

What tell us about the phenomenon of open induction?
Electronic cars keep going forever without gasoline and a patient using hearing aids can depend on the battery for a lifetime. This is our future and is closer than you think. The open Induction Concept is a technology innovation proposal that stems from the initial technology use of induction mobile charging similar to todays trending wireless phone charging.

Wireless charge pads are truly touch-less charging however the energy that is emitted is low and needs a close placement to work, however in theory, if you increase the energy rate you would be able to increase the induction distance.

Did writing the book take you to unexpected places or reveal things you hadn’t thought about before?

I wanted to publish part of the wireless charging theory in a book as soon as possible, it has opened up a few doors for me.

Can you tell us a bit about your writing process?
I am not much of a writer; being in programming has helped me learn a little more about the process myself.

What was the most challenging aspect of writing the book?
Publishing it.

How have readers responded to your book so far?
The response has really been amazing, I am so thankful that it has been well received in the community so far.

What do you have in mind for your next writing project?
I hope to publish my theory in detail after the patent is finished.

Is there anything else you'd like potential readers to know about your book?
I would like people to know this is an easy read, most people would say around the 6th grade reading level. It is simple to understand and follow, do not be afraid of the content.
