romance book, love story, Michel F. Bolle, adult romance, best romance novel 2019, new european romance novel, cute german romance, love in germany, deutscher Liebesroman
Today we are interviewing Michel F. Bolle, author of a romance / love story titled, “ALPEROSE - Love where you least expect it...” This German-language novel will be released within the next three months.

Tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m probably a workaholic driven by my never-ending passions. I work often no less than 12 hours a day as a sales director in the industrial valve business and try to plan into my life enough time for my family, writing inspiring books, coaching a volleyball team, reading and learning new things and whenever I’m really lucky I love to entertain my family and friends with card magic.

“the clock of life” is turning for everyone at the same speed and you cannot stop it. Time is the most precious thing we have in life as it is limited. The time ends for everyone one day. I tend to use my time in the most efficient way possible and trying to get the maximum out of it. I try to use my time to create value for others.

Describe the plot of your new book, “ALPEROSE - Love where you least expect it...,” in a few sentences?
If you liked the magic of "Pretty Woman" and "Notting Hill", you will just love this touching and inspiring story!

It is the story of Alice and Robert. Two complete opposites that meet one day somewhere lost in the middle of the Swiss Alps.

Robert and Alice did not know that they were about to be held ransom by destiny. Would it be a kidnap or a beautiful memory to remember?

It was all in their hands to decide. Or let's say almost..

Who do you think would most appreciate your book?
Everyone that loves touching and inspiring stories, unique characters and surprising turnarounds.

What inspired you to write a romance novel?
I personally always loved great romance stories. One day hanging around in a beautiful place in the Swiss Alps I saw a small stone avalanche rolling down. Don’t ask me why, but just in this moment came to my mind the basic idea about the “Alperose” story.

Who are the main characters in your story?
Robert, a business man and Alice an owner of a flower shop. Two complete opposites in their way of living and looking at things.

Author Michel F. Bolle.
Did you have a favorite character to write?
Not really. I invested a lot of time in creating both characters. So be the end I love them both.

Are there any characters that you relate to?
I suggest you to read the book and make yourself a picture…

What was the most challenging aspect of writing this book?
It is quite challenging to find enough time to write. Beside my business, my family, sports and card magic there is not much time left for writing. But by the end it is all a question of organization and will. As one of my previous volleyball coaches always said “If you want you can, and if you can you must”.

What sets your book apart from other books in the romance genre?
It is a story with a lot of surprising turnarounds and it plays in a beautiful landscape. I believe it is the kind of story that catches your attention from the beginning and will nail you to your seat until the end.

Is there a book that had a major influence on you while you were growing up?
I always loved the short stories of the Swiss author “Franz Hohler”. He has this kind of other sense for creating amazing and surprising stories.

What initially drew you to writing in the romance genre?
As said earlier I personally love great romance stories. It was just the right time now for me to write one.

How long have you been writing?
I started to write around the age of 15. Mainly short stories and poems. By the end it took me almost 30 years to realize my dream and release my first book “Nature Hits Back” in 2016.

What is your favorite book and why?
Oh there are so many! If I really have to choose one that strongly influences my life, I would say “THE 5AM CLUB” from Robin Sharma.

Are there any authors who have influenced your writing style?
Again, I suggest you to read my book to find out. I do not really believe so.

How do you think you've evolved as a writer since when you first started?
A few years ago, a book project I started it just by writing. Today I invest first a lot of time in creating the story-plot, the characters and the places. Once I know where I want to go I start writing.

Are there any aspects (e.g. character building, world building) of your writing that you've been practicing?
I do practice every day by reading. There is always a lot to learn out of other stories and books. I get also a lot of inspiration from movies. Listening is also an excellent tool to improve your writing.

What are your goals as a writer for the next ten years?
At the moment I still try out different styles of books. I wrote and eco-novel (Nature Hits Back), a collection of short stories related to travelling (Travelers Trilogy) and a few business and motivational books. Overall I’m working very hard to achieve a worldwide bestseller. This is my personal goal to achieve in the next 10 years.

You speak multiple languages. Are you books available in multiple languages? Any plans to translate your books?
I have mainly written books in German and English. “Alperose” for example will also be released in German within the next 3 month.

How have your readers responded to the book so far?
I get a lot of very positive feedback, even if my English, as a Swiss guy, is not always perfect. I believe the people love the “craziness” in my stories.

What other books have you written?
Mainly business and motivational books. I have released a couple of years ago “The Art of Successful Leadership” or lately “100 Inspirational Quotes”.

Is there any aspect of writing you don't like?
Honestly no.

Have you ever had writer's block? If yes, how'd you deal with it? If you have not had writer's block, why do you think you haven't?
Yes for sure this happened to me many times. Usually I travel up to the Swiss mountains for one or 2 days to get some additional inspiration and new ideas. Usually that works very well for me.

What do you have in mind for your next project?
I’m already working on a new collection of short stories. The short stories will all be based around the 80’. So there will be a lot of memories in the stories for people who grow up in the 80`, and for today’s young generation the book will be some kind of history learning….

Is there anything else you'd like potential readers to know about your book?
I hope you will love it as much as I loved creating and writing the story.

An excerpt from “ALPEROSE”:
The path opened to a large field with an abundance of flowers. The skies were a picturesque dying orange, and there was no cloud in sight. On the horizon were peaked snow mountains. Even though he was not a nature lover, but this view kept him spellbound. To crown it all, there was a chalet about half a kilometer away.
“Look at that chalet.” Robert announced, pointing to the small building in the distance.
Alice had already burst out of the path and was already in the midst of the flowers. She plucked one and perceived its fragrance. It smelt nice.
Robert was surprised to see Alice amidst the flowers, but he still needed to break his discovery to her. That made him go into the flower field, walking carefully so as avoid staining his pants.
“There is a chalet over there. We should check it out.” Robert pointed his hand in the direction of the chalet.
Alice turned her head to where Robert was pointing. “I see it. But come and join me.” She plucked another flower….
