Today we are interviewing Myesha Chaney, author of Hiding Behind the Lipstick.

Describe the purpose of your book in a few sentences.
To empower and inspire women to be who they are.

Who do you think would most appreciate this book? Women from all walks of life between 18-50 years old.

What inspired you to write this book?
I was tired of pretending and wanted to live an authentic life.

How long did you work on this book for?
Since 2009 so about 5 years.

What do you think contributes to a society where women have to “hide behind the lipstick?” 
There is so much pressure in society to be perfect and to fix our flaws. Even though that seems great, it causes the truth of who we are to be concealed.

What was the most interesting thing you found while writing this book?
There were so many stories I was able to draw from that really made writing the book emotional.

In Hiding Behind the Lipstick, you write about how readers can liberate themselves from the pressures of society. How long did it take you uncover the various ways people can liberate themselves? Was it a process that has been going on since you were young or something that followed a defining moment?
It took almost of year to uncover the various ways people can liberate themselves. My process began in my early twenties when I became a pastors wife. This was my defining moment when I could have just played a role versus truly living my authentic life and purpose. 

How do you think reading your book will impact people?
It will cause them to truly look inward and determine who they are at the core of their being.

What needs to happen so that society will stop pressuring people to hide behind masks of superficiality?
We need to see positive reflections of imperfectly beautiful people in media and print,

Have you friends and family been supportive of your writing?
Absolutely, we all have been on this journey together.

Are you active on social media? Why or why not?
Yes, it is a great way to connect with people. I use it to encourage people who are searching in life.

What do you have in mind for your next writing project?
A book about being single, unmarried after thirty.

Interview with Magus Zeta, Author of Quantum Sorcery Basics

Today we are interviewing Magus Zeta, author of the Nonfiction Occult Magic book Quantum Sorcery Basics.

Describe the purpose of your book in a few sentences.

To explain how the world actually works, what your unconscious mind attempts to make your world into, and how to go about changing your world in a conscious and positive way.

Who (age, gender, etc) do you think would most appreciate this book?

Anyone of any age that seeks to understand why they are having problems obtaining their goals, and who wants to have more success in their life, and maybe find a little more meaning as well.

What inspired you to write this book?

I discovered long ago that it is our expectations, and not our desires, that we almost always receive in life. I wanted the desperate people out there to know that there are ways to change this.

What was the most interesting thing you uncovered while doing research for the book?

I discovered that place where science, spirituality, purpose and the material aspects of life all converge.

How do you think reading your book will impact people?

It should at a minimum add to the wonder of life for them. If they apply what they read, I know that it will change their life for the better and forever.

Is there anything else you'd like potential readers to know about your book?

I cannot lie. It will require a bit of concentration and thinking to get through, as we consider the infinities in life, but I think that anyone who wishes will be able to understand and apply the concepts. I think that we all should find fun in whatever we do, so I wrote the book with a sort of lilting humor that I hope you will appreciate.
