Bobby Sky, Author of God's Secret: the Cry of the Millennials Fast your Way to Spiritual Truth and Freedom

Today we are interviewing Bobby Sky about the non-fiction / new age / Christian meditation book, titled “God's Secret: the Cry of the Millennials Fast your Way to Spiritual Truth and Freedom.”

Tell us a bit about you.
I'm lovely! Haha! Really I've always been a curious person by nature, especially when it comes to spiritual things. Even as a child my parents would relay stories back to me about how I would surprise them in some way. My dad (God bless him) was a brilliant man and knew how to raise money for business ventures. One day when I was 2 or 3 years old, he introduced me to one of his best friends and business partner named Randy. According to dad, I stared at Randy up and down for 5-10 seconds with an intense look on my face, kicked Randy in the shin, and ran away. One week later, Randy shorted dad about $20,000 in a business deal gone sour. My father and I joked about it years later and he said "Son, it was like you knew something was wrong and you were trying to warn me about something I couldn't see. I should have listened!" I'm 29 years old now and I would say that I haven't changed much since then. The only difference now is I don't go around kicking folks in the shin! Haha!

Tell us about your book in a few sentences.
God's secret is about experiencing the tangible presence of God. It's about the personal journey & different avenues that I went through to find spiritual truth. It's about the pains, struggles, strongholds, lies of the world, and the opiate epidemic in our society. It's about the inner cries of an individual's heart that humanity is too afraid to talk about. It's about millennials who are trapped into a certain way of thinking.

Who do you think would most appreciate this book?
Any person that has struggled with any type of addiction like drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, food, shopping, video games, etc. Also, anyone who has been an orphan, raped, homeless, suicidal, depressed, broke, abused, or rejected. Lastly this book would benefit any person who practices new age, yoga, witchcraft, wicca, reiki, chakra meditation, astral projection, quija boards, or buddhism. 

What inspired you to write the Book?
God inspired me to write a book for this millennial generation.

Millennials are misunderstood, what inspired you to write a book about millennials?
I know the struggles that millennials face because I am one. I have a heart for them because the world tells them what to believe about God or the universe. I've been through the new age doctrines & I offer a new perspective & challenge for all millennials with this one question: Is it possible you are believing a lie that someone else told you?

What do you think are some challenges millennials face?
Social media is a major obstacle for millennials. It's really sad to see but there are a lot of backbiting frenzies on Facebook or selfie marathons going around. Music is another hindrance. Thoughts and words have power and when you sing and think about a song, it will manifest into your life. I had a girlfriend once that liked this particular song on the radio and the lyrics were about always being broke and getting drunk. Guess what? She was always broke and getting drunk! Thoughts and words have power. Self help gurus like Tony Robbins will teach that and even touch on concepts like faith, grace, and divine appointments. Millennials don't even realize what they're teaching! It's bible baby! Haha. 

How do you think the millennials relationship with spirituality differs from other generations?
The human finger print is unique to every person. No one past, present, or future will ever have the same finger print as another person. You are unique! God made you different! Yet, we have millennials taking the same duck selfie photos, wearing the same clothes, listening to the same music, and watching the same movies. Older generations had more individuality and unique thought. The Millennials struggle because they are just doing what everyone else is to fit in the crowd. I call it collective thinking or having collective thought. You are who you hang out with kind of thing, monkey see monkey do, etc. There's not much originality anymore. Millenials think Johnny Depp is cool. I strongly disagree. Jesus walked on water, if that's not cool I don't know what is. Sorry cap'n jack but your "Rum is gone"

In the U.S., we’re in the midst of an opiate epidemic. Your books touches a bit on this. It’s a complicated topic, but in your opinion, why do you feel there is an epidemic? What are some steps that can be taken to address this epidemic?
According to drugabuse.gov more than 130 people die everyday after overdosing on opioids. The "economic burden" in the United states is 78.5 billion a year for healthcare, addiction treatment, criminal justice, etc. So not only are people losing thier loved ones, but its costing americans billions of tax dollars. The solution? Is God and his presence! I'm living proof of that! I've been sober 2 years now and I take zero credit for it. I'm not talking about religion, I'm talking about personal one on one relationship with Jesus. People who are addicts (like I was) must ask Jesus into their heart and be born again. That is the only way to overcome this epidemic. God met me one night at an abandoned baseball field that completely transformed my life.

Did writing the book take you to unexpected places or reveal things you hadn't thought about before?
Most definitely! Writing the book drew me closer to God as well as his love, peace, and character. I used to think he was this evil dictator with egotistical and sadistic issues. Oh, how wrong I was! God says "if you want me, chase me". He doesn't force himself on you, that's called rape, not relationship.

Can you tell us a bit about your writing process?
I always pray first and ask Jesus for the things to write about. Then, I'm usually at a park, coffee shop, or somewhere quiet where I can focus on writing without distractions. Sometimes I'll listen to music with headphones on for inspiration. 

What was the most challenging aspect of writing the book?
Editing! I'm not a grammar nazi!

What do you hope readers will gain from reading your book?
My biggest hope is that the readers will meet God and experience his presence for themselves.

How have readers responded to your book so far?
It's been amazing! The people who have read the book have complimented on it and share how it has blessed them individually. I'm very grateful and honored for all of my readers.

Are there any authors who have influenced your writing style? 
JK Rowling, Rhonda byrne, Suzanne Collins, C.S Lewis, and the prophets from the bible. 

What do you have in mind for your next writing project?
I'm going to do a series of 3 books altogether. Currently, I am working on the second book !

Is there anything else you'd like potential readers to know about your book?
I want readers to know that God is a perfect gentleman, not a rapist. All he will do is knock on your door. The choice is yours if you open the door or not. My question is Will you let him in?

Shawn Van Horn, Author of Dark Thoughts

Today we are interviewing Shawn Van Horn, author of a horror/supernatural thriller titled "Dark Thoughts," part of the Dark Testament Saga.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am an American author who loves darker, gritty stories. Horror, Dark fantasy, paranormal and sci fi are all favorite genres of mine. I’ve always had an overactive imagination and one day decided to start writing out my ideas! I enjoy entertaining and have no intention of apologizing for what I write. I seek to get an audience engaged whether it’s through a love of my stories or hate. The point is that they feel something. I’m also very social. I’m always up for a good chat or debate. I’m an avid gamer as well. When I’m not writing or playing with my daughter, you can find me online exploring those worlds too.

Describe the plot of your new book, “Dark Thoughts,” in a few sentences.
Manson Digby suffers severe head trauma giving him Amnesia. He no longer knows who he was before the accident and suffers from dark and violent thoughts and dreams. He wonders if these horrific ideas in his head are side effects of his injury or something sinister deep within himself. He goes on a journey with a mysterious companion named Lucy to discover who or what he is and a destiny far greater than he could ever imagine.

Who do you think would most appreciate this book?
That’s a good question. I think someone who appreciates a story that does not have to be bound to a stereotypical “happy ending” Those who are not easily offended by the warping of certain beliefs and ideals will appreciate it the most.

Tell us about the protagonist, Manson Digby.
Manson experienced a trauma that left him mentally scarred. He feels alone, angry and at times, fear of his situation. He’s suffering while going through an existential crisis. Who is he and what is his purpose in life? To an extent he does not even feel human. That is what his journey is all about. Discovering his nature, his destiny and determining what to do with the truths he finds. You as the reader will experience this process of uncovering his life through his eyes. You will know what he feels and exactly what he is thinking. You will see his dreams, his desires and thoughts. Manson Digby is fractured and the readers will witness him struggle to pick up the pieces.

After Manson’s injury, he is plagued by violent thoughts and dark dreams. I’m sure he experiences quite a chaotic mix of emotions, from guilt to worry, trying to interpret these thoughts. Can you tell us more about his thought process when he first experiences his new mental state?
Manson does not know what to do with himself or what to think. His dreams are of a horrific realm and violence is always in the back of his mind. I wouldn’t say he necessarily feels guilt. Confusion though is his first natural reaction to his state. Once he begins to adjust though, fear of his past and alienation from those around him take over. He is kept away from the world by Father Alvarez and this only makes his fear grow into eventual anger. That is where the story picks up. He is in a very cold, angry state.

What can you share with us about Manson’s companion, Lucy?
The question should be “Do I WANT to share anything about Lucy?” Lucy is a real mystery to Manson. She appears to him as a stranger passing by but he instantly feels a connection to her. This makes him curious because he hasn’t shared a connection with anyone else. Lucy instantly commits to him which furthers suspicion in Manson’s mind.

What inspirations contributed to this book?
That is hard to answer. I have always wanted to write something like this, though the story did evolve beyond what I could have ever imagined. When writing, I thought about my old psychology classes from high school, horror novels such as the Shining, the Bible (don’t ask.)

What got you interested in the horror/supernatural genre?
I love horror movies and games. Resident Evil(Except 5 and 6), the Outlast series, Ghost stories and demons have always excited me so to have the opportunity to put something with at least some of those elements on paper was always a goal. Movies and video games, got to love them!

Are there any authors who have influenced your writing style?
None come readily to mind as far as my physical style. I kind of just did it as I went along. I’m sure avid readers out there will find someone to compare me too though. I will then have to check that person’s work out if I haven’t already

Who was your favorite character to write?
Manson himself, hands down. 

What genre do you read most frequently?
Horror and Sci Fi.

How do you think you've evolved as a writer since when you first started?
My storytelling has become more clear. When I first started, I realized I rambled a lot. After going through the painful edits and re writes, I find that I am able to tell something much more substantial. 

What are your goals as a writer for the next ten years?
To complete The Dark Testament Sage, build my Grand Archives series up and do a paranormal series. I wouldn’t mind getting hired to write novels based in a video game universe either.

How have your readers responded to the book so far?
Shock from those who know me personally but in an entertaining way. Honestly it is doing better than I thought it would. I’m delighted at how invested people have gotten into the saga. It makes me more eager to start book 2.

Is there any aspect of writing you don't like?
Writers block. I hate it when I have good days while writing a story then go a week with nothing

How'd you deal with it? 
I just sat on the story and would lock myself away and think. The ideas on how to move forward eventually come to me. It is the waiting that sucks.

How many books do you have planned for the Dark Testament Saga? When can readers expect the next book to be released?
5 books for this particular series. Book 2 should come out late 2020 or early 2021. It really depends on when I finish my current novel I am working on in my other series. I only like to work on one at a time to stay focused.

Is there anything else you'd like potential readers to know about your book?
It may shock you. It may anger you. It may thrill you. The point is not to write what society wants. It is to write what I want. I do not care about political correctness or topics that may be taboo. Be ready to feel a mix of emotions as you journey with Manson and his quest of self-discovery. Be ready to get introduced to a world far larger than you can imagine. Let the Dark Testament Saga begin.

A rocky spire stood directly ahead; it was looming into the night sky. Its various windows projected a soft-orange dancing flame. I walked towards the tower. As I got closer, I heard a cry from within. The sadness and despair in there was like music to my ears. I know that whoever is the victim of their torture deserved the treatment. I approached the entrance and a silhouette appeared in the doorway. Its sleek thin form is smooth against the glow of the fire. The silhouette appears feminine with an hourglass-like shape. Her hand gently starts at her shoulder and glides down her body with fingers sliding across her breasts. I cannot see her face, but her voice, soft like music, asks, “Is it finally time my love?” I sensed her excitement and began to smile. I suddenly awaken; cold sweat is sticking to my body. This was the third time in the four weeks since my accident that I have had a dream in this desolate world, but it was the first time that I saw her…

Interview with Magus Zeta, Author of Quantum Sorcery Basics

Today we are interviewing Magus Zeta, author of the Nonfiction Occult Magic book Quantum Sorcery Basics.

Describe the purpose of your book in a few sentences.

To explain how the world actually works, what your unconscious mind attempts to make your world into, and how to go about changing your world in a conscious and positive way.

Who (age, gender, etc) do you think would most appreciate this book?

Anyone of any age that seeks to understand why they are having problems obtaining their goals, and who wants to have more success in their life, and maybe find a little more meaning as well.

What inspired you to write this book?

I discovered long ago that it is our expectations, and not our desires, that we almost always receive in life. I wanted the desperate people out there to know that there are ways to change this.

What was the most interesting thing you uncovered while doing research for the book?

I discovered that place where science, spirituality, purpose and the material aspects of life all converge.

How do you think reading your book will impact people?

It should at a minimum add to the wonder of life for them. If they apply what they read, I know that it will change their life for the better and forever.

Is there anything else you'd like potential readers to know about your book?

I cannot lie. It will require a bit of concentration and thinking to get through, as we consider the infinities in life, but I think that anyone who wishes will be able to understand and apply the concepts. I think that we all should find fun in whatever we do, so I wrote the book with a sort of lilting humor that I hope you will appreciate.
